Win Over Customers with Your Blogs


Your blog is a powerful, cost-effective inbound marketing tool that needs to draw people to your website where they can buy your products and services. Think of it as the show window of your website, and like brick-and-mortar show windows, it must entice and invite people to enter and discover what you have to offer. If you follow the links in each tip, you will see an example of how I do this for my own business and for my blog marketing clients
  1. Integrate your website and your blog visually. Make sure your blog looks and feels like your website. It needs to reflect your logo, tagline, website colors, and fonts. Everything has to integrate to form a cohesive, credible message.
  2. Fill your blog posts with valuable, strategic content. Your goal is to entice people to visit your website where they can discover your products and services. Every post must help people understand what you do and how you produce results for your clients.
  3. Link posts to your website. Your blog is an invitation to your website, so every post must lead the reader to something on your website. Link to free tipsproductsservices, more information.
  4. Keep people coming back. Create a series of blog posts on a single topic that you are an expert in. Creating a series on a single topic is an excellent way to showcase your expertise and drive people to your website for more information.
  5. Choose a topic that is tied to a product or service you offer. For example, if you are an event planner, choose a topic tied to your VIP events. 

  6. Spread the word on social mediaWhen your post goes live, update social media with a link to your blog. (More in a later post.)
