Let's talk about repurposing. Repurposing is taking existing content, tweaking it so that it is fresh and new, and then dropping it into a new medium or positioning it for a new audience. It is not copying and pasting content verbatim from one medium to another.
You do not want to duplicate content. If people see exactly the same thing in different venues, they begin to think you don't have new content; that your expertise is thin and weak. No one in business wants that perception! In addition, each medium has its own requirements as a communication. Blog posts have different requirements than e-books, newsletters are different from e-books, and so on. The goal with repurposing is to use what you already have and add new value.
